Frequent service outages and rising costs were just two of the reasons why Steve and Corina Williamson decided to switch from cable to satellite TV. Responding to a flier in the mail, they called 2-Guys Audio/Video. "We had seen Joe Dodd's ad for quite some time and finally decided we'd had enough of cable's poor quality and high monthly cost. Finally we gave Joe a call."
A neighbor's recommendation also helped spur the Williamson's to consider satellite TV service. "Our next-door neighbor has satellite TV service from Dish Network and absolutely loves it. We had heard that reception could suffer in bad weather, but our neighbor assured us that his satellite signal and reception has always been excellent, even with snow on the dish!"
After calling 2-Guys Audio/Video and speaking with Joe, the decision was clear. "Joe answered all of our questions, both technical and financial, in a very easy to understand way. We felt very comfortable with the idea of switching to satellite TV and by the end of the conversation we had no doubts about who would install it: 2-Guys Audio/Video."
Within two days of that phone call, techs from 2-Guys Audio/Video visited the Williamson's home and had their satellite TV system from Dish Network installed and working flawlessly. "We went with a DVR in the living room and a standard receiver in the master bedroom. The techs took extra care to make sure everything was working well before they left, even spending an extra half-hour to make sure both my wife and I knew how to use the remote controls and all the DVR functionality," said Steve Williamson. "They really went the extra mile, and they did such a great job the first time we've never had to call them back for service calls. It seemed like the cable company's truck was parked in front of our house on a monthly basis."
And how do they feel about switching from cable to satellite TV? "There's no question about it. Switching was the best thing we could have done. The reception is outstanding and we've never experienced signal loss for any reason, not even snow." And what about the value? "We get a better selection of channels for a lower monthly cost than we received from cable TV." What about using a DVR, or digital video recorder? "It's the greatest thing! Being able to record shows couldn't be easier and the fact that our model of DVR holds up to 100 hours of programs eliminated the need to feed tapes into the VCR. It's incredible!"
